Interview Brief

A concise intelligence brief before your interview. Company context, hiring-manager read, inferred priorities, questions worth asking, and what not to say. Built on 450 pages of recruitment work.

This tool is free and always will be. There is no sign-up, no account, and nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere except directly to Anthropic's API to produce your brief. Your CV, the role details, and your key live only in your browser for this session and vanish when you close the tab.

A note on LinkedIn. This tool cannot scrape LinkedIn profiles directly. Where you add hiring manager or panel information, paste what you can see on their public profile. The tool will read between the lines of whatever you give it, which is more useful than a data dump anyway.

What you'll need: an Anthropic API key

The tool runs on Anthropic's Claude and searches the web for company context. You bring your own key so the cost is yours and small. Setup takes about five minutes.

  1. Go to console.anthropic.com and create an account (or sign in).
  2. Add a little credit under Billing. The minimum is usually $5, far more than you'll need.
  3. Open API Keys, click Create Key, name it, and copy it. It starts with sk-ant-.
  4. Paste it below. It stays in your browser only.

What a brief costs

~10-20p

per brief. This tool runs multiple web searches, so it uses a little more than the others

Roughly 5 to 10 briefs per US dollar. A $5 balance covers 25 to 50 briefs. Prices are approximate and set by Anthropic, not by me.

The thinking behind this tool

This tool distils two books. If it helps you, the books go far deeper, and buying one is the only thing I'll ever ask in return.
